I prefer the slightly angled position...just use the button controls to micro-adjust the position to a slightly angled position and its great ^ for me TG over UA anytime...(its only a decision for me if I have an SQ or CX choice)....
by the way, the new B777-200ERs on TG have different pod seats in biz class (EADS Sogermas instead of BE Aerospace seats like on the TG A340-500s) and are said to eliminate the problem of sliding experienced by some...
