Your paid, qualifying flights on most published fares on Air China operated United marketed code share flights also count toward eligibility for Mileage Plus elite status.

As for Shanghai Air:

* 70% accrual in classes H/K/L/M/T/E/V/X with a minimum of 425 miles (no accrual in other discount economy classes)
* 100% accrual in Y class with a 500 mile minimum
* 125% accrual in Business Class with a 500 mile Minimum
* 150% accrual in First Class on a 3 cabin aircraft with a minimum of 500 miles

In my experience some checkin staff do not know that Shanghai Air is elligible for United Credit and wont take the FF card.
