The old 'new' seat is not that bad although clearly it is not on a par with BA, VS or the dynamic duo of SQ and CX. It would just be nice to sit in one occasionally. All too often one finds oneself STILL at the end of 2006 in old (and I mean OLD!!) business class seats. Last Thursday AF006 was operated with a 747-400 with a really rubbishy old cabin. Dirty and broken. IFE not working properly and frankly substandard catering. Crew were as usual magnificent (the pncs of AF are great and are just as let down by the product as the passengers). For the price paid it was embarrassing. BA has not operated aircraft like that for over TEN YEARS. At this rate AF will start annoying people.
