Cheers.
As long as it's in the context of discussion, fine. When it takes the form of advice predicated upon assumptions about what is the law and how it works, not fine. If someone came on here and said, "When I flew yesterday, I got dizzy, fainted, and awoke with a tremor in one hand and no feeling in my leg," any "discussion" beyond, "get to a doctor" would be irresponsible. No one here (except those who are MDs) is qualified to make a medical diagnosis, nor should they do so. Similarly, no one here (except those who are attorneys) is qualified to make a legal diagnosis. Nor should they do so.

The subject of the OP's post was an acquaintance who was injured severely enough to require ambulance evacuation from an aircraft to a hospital. Obviously, this is a far more serious situation than the usual FT question, e.g. "Is the airline liable to me for a mechanical?"

Everyone can, and will, discuss any subject they find interesting on FT. However, when I see a subject that implicates legal rights and responsibilities, I will discuss it, too. That discussion will necessarily include pointing out erroneous advice and/or legal premises posted by others, as well as the recommendation that anyone posting an important or serious personal legal question get competent advice, i.e. advice from other than an internet website.
