I've received it, even though I didn't ask for it, once. The location had no hot water in the morning, and when checking out and they asked how the stay was, I mentioned that I was without hot water to shower. The front desk clerk apologized, and asked me to wait until she printed a new folio. When she did, it showed that she'd not charged me for the room. The points did post for me.
