I'm curious, too. I just have a lowly gold card that I use to the tune of about $75K in charges per year and last year I couldn't even get some lousy bonus miles for my annual fee. I just got billed for this year's fee and it is time to try again. Seems like a little customer retention is worth something when others are churning their cards every few months...
