How that has anything to do with business or leisure travel is beyond me. I travel 150-200 nights a year on business and my upgrade success rate (without asking) is in the 90-95% range.

AvidFlyer. I don't get what business vs. leisure has to do with it. So people are saying that not only do you have to ask for an upgrade, it's a good idea to be super nice about it? Business travellers treat people nicely too... but I think they're more likely to ask to speak to a manager when Hilton staff screw up.
