The perks of FB are as you list amongst other 100% status bonus but unlike United and LH there are no coupons or system-wide upgrades. Upgrades can also only be done from top 3 booking classes so unless you have tickets booked in those, you will also need to upgrade your booking class.

With AF you will have access to the UD on their 747, better seat pitch 36" versus 32" and they also have PTV's in those seats. You should also be on the top when dealing with upgrades.
