It's a little strange - I have the application form, along with the T&C and it says nothing about the £60 annual fee but MBNA insist there is a fee. The lady I spoke to didn't actually know about the card and just read the details word-for-word from the info she had.

There's apparently no difference in benefits between the two cards but the platinum card is only available to people with a certain income (I've forgot what the threshold was).

There's no online application at the moment - you have to call them.
