The final two aircraft were initially scheduled to enter service this month, but that certainly won't be happening. The earliest I've heard for the last two's entry is the middle of December, but that may need some verification.
On top of those delays, HA has still gone ahead with their expanded services, including the expansion of SAN/PDX/SEA-OGG flights to daily and adding 4 weekly frequencies to SMF-HNL. The occasional Raiders charter probably isn't helping out the situation as well. As one can probably tell, at least some of the flights will run into extensive delays given the shortage of widebodies to fit the current schedule.
Hey, thank you for your very detailed response. I hadn't thought about the OGG based flights. Sounds like we'll keep hearing about these nightmares for a while. I don't imagine Christmas/New Years is going to be pleasant for all passengers. If I wanted insane delays/cancellations, I'd fly Omni...
We had hoped that they would ask for VDBs in PHX this morning based on many folks taking the 24 hr delay in lieu of the 14 hr one, but no luck.
