I had issues at a recent stay, and uttered that phrase... they jumped on all my problems immediately (maybe being diamond helped, no idea there). Here's what was wrong, and the action they took:

1. Alarm clock wouldn't change alarm's time (button broken).
They said the whole place was booked solid, but they ended up finding me a new one behind the check-in desk.

2. Toilet seat wouldn't stay up (annoying for a guy).
Sent in their technician guy within 20 mins to fix it.

3. Internet was slow (bogged down due to many users).
4. I was charged for a movie that I only saw 20 minutes of (changed channels by mistake).
5. No ironing board in the room.
I went to management with all these and they gave me 5 free movies (after a bit of bartering). They initially offered me money off my room, or to buy me dinner, but since I was getting per diem and the room was on my company's dime, those were worthless to me.

I have to say I was impressed, and I left a happy camper!
