I have several comments to make:

1. 54/55/56 are good seats for parties of two since there are only 2 seats on the sides in this section, as the 747 fuselage gets thinner down the back. I choose these since you know you will only have one person next to you (when travelling alone).

2. the first row of Y bulkhead is supposed to be reserved for babies (basinets fit on the bulkhead). You may well find row 28 is taken from you by a mother with child, or worse the mother and screaming baby will be seated next to/between you. Something to consider.

3. You can't change LH seats online that I know of. Just call your friendly (!) LH res office and they will change for you (incidently I was denied to assign a bulkhead at all, so you got lucky!)

4. I believe LH uses the config with the most Y seats (I think Y starts at row 24) on LAX-FRA v.v (I flew that a few months ago, but luckily managed to upgrasde to C both ways).
