I was disappointed last week after working all day, rushing to the airport and gate, then getting in the air to discover that I was getting the grapes and cheese and cracker plate. This was on ORD-IAH. I aksed and found out the answer (finally). The flight was long enough, but it left at 7:15pm, which apparently isn't "mealtime" to Continental, even though my stomach was still on CST and it was 6:15.
