I'm sure this has be done before, but search is continually dying on me, and I just love the odd flame anyways (makes me feel loved).

I'm currently running figures and wondering what people judge the value of status credits as. I'm somewhat making a decision where an extra $300 will get me an extra 70 status credits. On top of that, this extra 70 *could* make the difference between bumming around on silver, or making gold just before my anniversary. Normally I wouldn't worry about this, but my QC runs out in August, my anniversary is at the end of July, so hitting gold would in effect save me $500. Now currently, as its the end of the year and my lovely better half has unfortunatley recieved both the prada and tiffany catalogues I'm just a wee bit f*$)ed for money right now. I'm sure I could butter someone up to get the extra money (currently I'm told J class to Paris next year would be suitable trade for a smaller christmas present. I made the big mistake of saying I'm more interested in a suitable trade in for a younger model. Hello dog house), however I'm wondering on the economics.
