Thumbs up Turnaround for baggage claim at LAX?

I will also send a note to UA about this, but I wondered if anyone else has noticed a great improvement in the baggage handling at LAX recently?

I traveled yesterday and had to check bags since I had boyfriend and dog in tow. I prepared myself for the worst--LAX baggage claim normally takes a half-hour minimum before the first bag comes out. I feared 1 hour or more with the holiday traffic.

Imagine my surprise when bags were out within 3 minutes of my arrival at the carousel. I don't think my flight was alone, as it seemed like things were really moving along smoothly across the board. I heard proactive pages announcing that all bags were out for this flight or that flight; I saw no big lines at the counters; and the carousels were kept fresh with unclaimed bags being promptly removed.

First we get our Terminal 6 checkin back, and now this? Way to go LAX!
