Thanks to all for the input, particularly the idea of going on trans-Pacific on SQ. That hadn't occurred to me at all. I've flown SQ a number of times in C and once in F and agree that it's great. I don't know how many miles doing it that way would gobble up but I'll look into it. Also, from other threads I gather that getting mileage tickets for two people in F on SQ is practically unheard of, but would appreciate any experience or advice to the contrary (even given that the SIN-CPT leg is only in C).
Any advice on the best time of year to visit there between November and March?
