To move to another cabin: for short-haul (intra-Europe) catering to and from LHR, I'd rank BA above its competitors, with only SK coming close. The LH and LX cold cuts just don't move me after a hard day's work.
But the punctuality and the (lower) probability of being bussed in from remote stands would favor competitors like LH, LX and SK.
I thought the OS shorthaul catering to and from VIE was rather nice too in C. I haven't flown CE for a while but I remember some very mediocre offerings and I am sure things have not improved that much recently.
