does anything smaller than 737 land at LHR? how can it have feeder traffic?
I recently moved from NJ to west England for a job, and I have slowly become annoyed with the hassle it takes to get to LHR from where I am. Of course, all my travel requires going to LHR to fly out on UA to intl.. (and even if not UA, pretty much the same).
Was thinking how nice it would be for a feeder route to exist from my local city (and many other cities) to LHR, maybe with a Q400 or something small like that. But I have a feeling that nothing smaller than a 737 lands at LHR on a scheduled basis. Is this true?
I guess LHR gets enough traffic (and waiting line nightmares) from London pax alone, but wouldn't having some feeder routes be nice?

(added later)
on thinking about this a little more, I do suppose that by definition feeder traffic, for example for a 747, would mean several (many) smaller planes flying in, making it a severe traffic burden. Maybe what London needs is another (better) hub.
