Just an update, kids. Those low fares to Hawaii in March/April are back. I booked 4 seats to OGG last nite for dates in early April. CAD $212 each way- comes out to around $530 all in incl seat selection fee.

There are still some dates in Mar/ April with very nice fares
to OGG & HNL. (saw a YVR-HNL in Mar or Apr for $400 rtn
all in)- a lot of the dates include codeshares via LAX, but who cares?

BTW, because we are on a UAL codeshare LAX- OGG, the computer could not assign us seats on the UA portions.(even though I paid the $15 per seat)
I tried calling AC this a.m. to get the seats, and you cant even get through to be on hold- you get a message to call back later due to high call volumes!

I called UA , answered before it even rang, and the nice agent assigned our seats for us. ^
