Rumanian is a Romance language like French Italian Spanish &c, nothing to do with Russian or Slavic (not that that makes Rumania a plausible member of la francophonie).

I would say that the French spoken by the call centre people is better than what you hear from many AC FAs. One of the fun parts of flying AC out of CDG is watching the faces of the Françats-de-France pax during the preamble to takeoff as they gradually realize that the mysterious drawling noise coming through the speaker is actually French, as spoken by an anglophone who learned it in Trois-Rivières (or worse, Manitoba...)
