What about overnight?

I have a related question. Last week, was flying EWR-LAX with a connection in DEN with Mrs. tnarg-lax. The EWR-DEN flight was delayed because the incoming aircraft was late coming from ORD by about 2 hours. Needless to say, we misconnected on the DEN-LAX flight, which happened to be the last of the night. So we had to overnight in DEN. No accomodation or compensation was offered other than boarding passes for the first flight out in the morning. I booked hotel room and paid for cab myself obviously.

FYI, this was on paid F tickets (A fare IIRC, if that's what they consider "discounted"), and I'm a brand-new 1k.

Should I be due any compensation?
