Makes sense. But what about teenagers who are not UMs, i.e. who are travelling as regular pax? We had the 15-year-old daughter of a friend of ours, and her 15-year-old friend, come to stay with us and they flew as normal pax FCO-LHR and back on AZ. Not sure who sat next to them (it would have been a 3x3 A320) (and I can't imagine Alitalia having a policy on the subject) but the airline is not
in loco parentis in this situation.
