Similar happened to me a couple of times when I was a boy, here in the UK and when I was living in Brussels.

But BA's policy still makes me feel uneasy, putting all of us (or 50% of us) in the same boat; understandable from their POV, though, given the ever-increasing risk of lawsuits.

Does anyone know what other airlines do?
