The funny part is that it is actually located in T1 of JFK. If someone would only break into the network to see what's behind all of this. Why would they have a wifi network for bag scanning machines?
Most all airports have wifi for baggage scanning, but they usually don't broadcast the SSID. In the baggage area they use handheld WiFi scanners to read the baggage tags which connect to WiFi access points.
