Earlier this year I was passing through a major United hub and the line into the RCC was outside of the door. There was nobody at the desk for a few minutes. When the RCC lady returned there must have been 20 people in line. She asked each and every one of us to confrm that we were "flying to Asia" and gave us all two chits each. I thought that was a very nice gesture for a very minor inconvenience. Maybe the world of drink chits has to balance out and occasions like this generate a witholding incident somewhere else.
