That was the answer I got on the BA board when I asked about this over a year ago. I still want to know what kind of anti-gravity paint BA uses for their FC and BC cabin overhead bins, because they can take much heavier load than the Y bins
To me, a full OHB is a full OHB. If they allow 50% more weight up front, then the weight argument is not valid.
Yes it is valid since the overhead bins wont have more total weight in the front cabin since there are less people crammed in there.
