Old Forge is nice if you don't want to drive all the way up to Lake Placid. I doubt you would be able to drive up White Face Mtn. this time of year ... road is usually closed.

On your way up, stop by at White Lake Polaris and say hello to my sister-in-law, Debbie, for me
