Thought I'd give other folks a chance to respond, but it doesn't look like you're getting much input. Being that I've split 150 nights/year between the two for the last 4 years I guess I'm the resident expert.

Most of what I said in my earlier post still holds. Your choice is between older, larger rooms (DT) or smaller, slightly more modern rooms at the Crowne. Even though they are only 2-3 blocks apart the Crowne has a better location, as it's an easy walk to the Oregon district (only restaurants/nightlife to speak of in downtown -- I recommend Thai 9, Jay's, Franco's or Blue Moon). And there's Rita, who runs the concierge lounge at the CP.

If you go the DT route, ask for a room number ending in -04 or -07; these are the larger suites. I do agree with the other poster that unless you need to be downtown, there are better choices in the surrounding areas (though IMO his/her complaints are overstated).
