Try adding a downriver Nile Cruise

My suggestion is to stay at only one of the "All Inclusive" properties for 2-3 days and spend one night in Cairo before a 4 night Nile cruise and another night in Cairo after the cruise. The Nile cruise I recommend is the 4 night downriver cruise on the Oberoi Philae from Aswan down to Luxor. The Oberoi Philae boat had large staterooms and ours were two adjacent staterooms combined into one suite with two bathrooms. I'm not sure if they still use this configuration. At Cairo we stayed the first night at the Oberoi Mena House right next to the Pyramids and then after the cruise we stayed at the Cairo Nile Hilton. We did our trip in November and the weather was perfect with some evenings in the low to mid 60s after sunset. We did a day trip up to Abu Simbal from Aswan before boarding the cruise boat.
