I would appreciate a packet of toiletries so that my wife and I do not have to check our luggage and that we can continue to take rollaboards thru the TSA lines. I do not have much trouble, as I have developed a kit that contains shampoo, hair spray, toothpaste, underarm deodorant etc, but my wife is not so fortunate. She has to check her luggage as there are a number of items that she cannot purchase in quantities that are less than 3-4 ounces including the solutions for her contact lens. A few weeks ago she had a meltdown when DL cancelled our flight, and somehow we found the last US Air flight of the day that was wide open. However, because we were late, and US Air was holding the plane for us and a few other DL passengers, they told us we needed to do a gate check of our rollaboards. As we came running up the ramp, TSA pulled us both for special screening, and took almost all of my wife's toiletries. Included was a bottle of non-allergic shampoo, toothpaste, and and an extended list of beauty aids. It was the difference between getting home that evening or perhaps not getting home for 2 days. This experience left her in tears. I would expect that we would be willing to pay $30 for such a small customized packet of toiletries. Another alternative would be for Sheraton to somehow get our luggage through TSA and on to the Jungle Jets similar to what happens with gate checked luggage. For us the new TSA rules are a disincentive to take short 2-3 night vacations, and I just read that lost bags have increased significantly, especially on DL.
