Beerwah and Landsborough are pretty much "in the sticks". There isn't much there beside the zoo and a few local shops.
The Sunshine Coast strip isn't too far away. Public Transport is readily available from the zoo

Try hotels in Maroochydore, Caloundra and Mooloolaba. Noosa is also an option if you want to travel a bit further.
Off the top of my head there is a Hyatt hotel at Coolum.
