If you look to the FRA flight it can not be that no seat in all booking classes are available.
I have tried to make a return flight bookings from my 2007 holidays via SQ website for May 07.Since I still am holding a return ticket to BKK have tried to book a new return ticket in business ex BKK but fares seem to be higher as usual and funny - BKK-SIN- FRA is higher than BKK-SIN-FRA-HAM fare.This could not be.
Both situations you describe are certainly possible. (I'm not saying there couldn't be something wrong.)
