There is no doubt that for BA the driving force is the transatlantic market with LHR JFK being the biggest route (indeed there is about to be another LHR JFK run lauched soon isn't there). I also agree that compared to F with the American carriers BA is much better. Although Eos, Silverjet and Maxjet are trying to compete they do not offer anything like the route network that BA does so BA is safe there too. However, if you rest on your laurels for too long everyone else will catch up and then overtake you. F, despite all the various comments has not changed for over 15 years and even Y has had a couple over overhauls in that time. If it is to remain it surely needs a revamp.
Taking BA F back to where it was 6 or 7 years ago would be good enough for me.
