I am trying to book as part of a RTW, and will be connecting from where ever I can get to to a flight to America so don't really care which flight I take, just want to earn 5 PPS points.

I am waitlisted for SQ334, is it likely to clear for a D class fare?
SQ was never a fan of RTW tickets and their sales reps. have no problem admitting it, they do not get enough $$$ per sector. I would give SQ a call and see what they can do, being a PPS member your chances are pretty good to have the segment confirmed (eventually).

Note that there is a $500 surcharge on SQ334 for the new business class, if you could get SIN-ZRH confirmed and have your ticket issued before they load the 77W in the system you could avoid it.

If the 5 PPS points is pretty much it what you are after then follow tcswede's advice and have the LH flight booked with SQ flight #.
