By "a bit outside Malmo", I mean "other towns inside Sweden" that aren't too far from Malmo. Not applicable to your situation, but tickets covering train-only journeys from southern Sweden to Germany go through Malmo and generally change in Copenhagen (i.e., journey goes from places in Sweden to the Swedish city of Malmo, then to Copenhagen and then to Germany). That is to say, there's no train-only ticket from Copenhagen to Germany
via Malmo that I'm likely to ever come across.
