Try to find the flight that is most likely to be half full and sit in the back on the inside aisle and hope you have no one next to you so you can lay down. Your fellow traveler should have the next row or the the aisle seat on the other end of the row.
Better yet, on flights you know are light, try to board last, ask the FA's how much space there is, and have at 'er.
