Another thing to note... if your flight arrives at the same time with some others, is not unusual that once you get to the baggage claim area, your bag is not in the carrousel anymore... but rather you'll find it laying on the floor somewhere nearby, as they will remove them to make space for more luggage arriving into the same carrousel. So, if you don't find it at first glance, look around before you go to the claims dept.
