Another negative for the adapter that you pointed to is that it sticks out a lot (once your AC plug is inserted in it). In coach, the power plugs are shared and you may find that the power outlet is actually under your seatmate's seat.

The plug with a DC adapter protrudes a bit, but is generally acceptable. Yours is far more intrusive.
