PowerPort is a cigarette style plug that is required to plug into the seat power unit.

Some adapers have cig plug to converter box then a cord goes directly to your laptop (with the little round plug-inside-plug of laptops). OR others go cig plug to adapter to 110-style plug which in turn you plug your whole power assembly into.

As JDiver says the ones that go DC to AC to your adapter may loose power. I have had one in the past that was DC directly to the computer...

But I guess I have learned long ago to relax on even short 4 hour flights and not plan to work THAT long!
Thanks. Are the ones that go straight DC-DC cheaper than the DC-AC-DC ones? I did some searching but can't find anything that goes directly from the cigarette port into either a laptop or into an adapter. They all seem to invert the power. Does anyone have any links or tips? Thanks again all of you for being so helpful.
