Thanks!! Most of the Venice hotel sites I'd read claimed there is no hotel at the airport . . . this looks like a good bet, and if it's not "at" the airport, it's awfully close. I really wanted to stay in one hotel for my 3 mights there, but getting up at 3 a.m. to pay almost $100 doesn't sound too appealing.

Another possibility may be a regular taxi (not water taxi) from Piazalle Roma--doesn't look to be quite so expensive, and I don't need the romance of water at 3 .m.
