After my recent missing stay and subsequent missing stay request the following things happened.
1) The stay and nights appeared the very next day, but with no points earned
2) Later in the day, points appeared, but the promo I was offered (double points) while staying at the hotel did not post
3) Today I called and had to fight with the rep for 20 minutes to get the promo added to my account (eventhough the email said nothing about responding to accept the offer) and to get it applied to the HGI stay. They tried to go on the fact that the email said it would not be applied retroactively, however, that was sent on the 9th and I checked out on the 10th meaning that I believed the offer was in effect before the posting date.

In the end it all worked out, but it was a pain to have to fight for the extra ~8,000 pts.
