Not just the jetways, last month when I was in Terminal 2, they closed the escalators to Delta/Continetal gates and set up booths in the hallway to check carryons for liquids. At the gates, the vending machines did not work. So I went to the nearby giftshop to buy some juice. After taking my money, the cashier actually uncapped the bottle of juice and poured it all into a transparent plastic cup and asked me to drink it inside the store, with repeated Japanese apologies of course.
