Thumbs down ICHG is losing another nice holiday Inn property

Holiday Inn Emeryville Bay Bridge Oakland will no longer be with ICHG after December 30, 2006. It will become Hilton Garden Inn

The hotel is still now under renovation, but all the rooms had already been renovated. Very nice rooms! The hotel is facing directly to Bay Bridge and San Francisco downtown, with nice shopping mall, fancy Chinese restaurant (Hong King East Ocean) with nice seaview and yacht dock around. I thought Holiday Inn finally would come out something nice ^ , but the next day when I checked out, the staff at the front desk told me so proudly that it will be Hilton Garden Inn by the end of this year!!!

It seems all the nicer properties have gone to hilton and Sheraton group, and leave all those 70's, tacky HI properties to ICHG!!! So sick of the holiday inns the States
