Most of the cheap fares have (reasonably short) Apex restrictions. For LHR-D, you can get a very cheap fare (£60 + Tax) up to seven days out, and a very reasonable fare (£90 + Tax) up to three days out.

Read the Lufthansa fare rules for the routes you're interested in to find out when you need to book.
