Visiting an American-style diner in Swords seems to me like visiting an Irish bar in London or New York - not sure if it is the best place to go ... And when I was in Swords (admittedly a few years ago), even the guard dogs went into the Harp in groups, if you get my drift

Could I suggest that somewhere like Gibneys bar in Malahide would be a much better option, and the restaurants in Malahide are also more varied, and better quality. Malahide is 5 mins or so further than Swords by Taxi from the airport, and is also served by the DART train service from Dublin city centre, for anyone already in the city ...

Just my 2 cents worth ...

ER has not been considered since the first minutes of this post and was quickly dropped. No I don't understand the phrase "guard dogs went into the harp in groups" Please explain or PM me. Thanks.

Malahide is also fine with me.
