I'm trying to get 2 business class seats from DSM-PVG (Shanghai) in early June 2007. Ultimately, I'm trying to get to Shijiazhuang (SJW, Daguocun, China) but will need to fly through PVG and switch over to SHA.

I'd certainly like to accrue AA miles so my choices, I believe, are limited to AA, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific or China Eastern. It's been a number of years since I used a consolidator to buy discounted biz class tickets. Can anyone make a good recommendation--and guesstimate of likely fare for June 07 timeframe? (I can buy anytime between now and then).

I know another option is to buy coach AA tickets and then upgrade but that seems like a big waste of miles to do it that way.

Any guidance from the gurus will be much appreciated!
