How come the Hilton is so expensive? Is it the best hotel in AKL? 400+ per night seems excessive for AKL?

I am thinking of staying at the Sky City (since I should be able to get a bite there given my late arrival time (9:30).

I want to kill my friend that lost my Hilton vouchers! especially the 50AUD welcome voucher is lost as well!

I also realised there are 2 hotels within Skycity (4 star and 5 star)

The Grand hotel looks good with the duvets and the 4 star hotel looks pretty average (no duvets)

However on wotif.com they jsut stated Skycity Hotel, but showed a picture of the Grand Hotel rooms.

Just wondering is this a good place to stay (I guess maybe there is chance I can WIN back the hotel money here!)
