I generally don't wear polish on my fingers. Occassionally, I will, but it's not the norm for me. Toes are always done. I generally use a mid-range matte pink, because my nails are very very thick and the sheers just don't look good. Fire engine red is good, particularly for my skin tone.

BUT, and I really don't mean/want to offend anyone here, but I have always had this quesion.

I have yet to see anyone look good with black or very dark polish. Not a single person, either when it was in style about 10 years ago, or this year that it came back. I don't think it's flattering to any skin tone.

I keep seeing people with black nails, and I just don't get it. Maybe it's because I'm fashion un-conscious. I tend to dress conservatively and/or classically. I've never been a trend setter & think I've read 2 issues of Vogue my entire life.

Are women simply doing this because it's "in" this year?
