Same experience. The CP is just ok. There are many places with a better value. Try the Howard Plaza (good value), the Far East Plaza (nice). Avoid the Grand. Plainly horrible.
Agree re the Grand. The internal rooms are particularly nasty. Location is also awful. Re the Haward Plaza it is indeed good, but be careful not to book the Howard International House, which is an absolute dump in my opinion.
