True, although I've always found European awards a bit of a waste - there are so many cheap flights (espeically with the LCCs), for such a short trip you usually end up paying more in tax for an award flight than the cost of the whole trip with Easyjet / Ryanair.

I'd consider Euro awards more if European carriers had proper business class (like US / Canadian domestic first) but spending extra miles to have a seat exactly the same size, some free food, and a sign saying "Business Class" isn't great value
